Campaign for a GM-Free Oxfordshire
 The
main objective of our current food campaign is to make Oxfordshire a GM-free
zone. We believe this is possible because of an EU directive (2001/18/EC,
Article 19) which mentions the protection of "geographical areas" from
genetically modifed crops. We are suggesting that Oxfordshire County Council
declares the county to be a GM-free zone and asks the Government to use
the EU directive to protect Oxfordshire from future releases of GM crops
and food.
