Saturday 5 December

The Wave, London. The UK's biggest ever demonstration in support of action on climate change, organised by the Stop Climate Chaos coalition, in advance of the COP 15 summit in Copenhagen. March assembles at 12 noon in Grosvenor Square. The climax will be the encircling of Parliament at 3pm. Wear blue! Coaches from Oxford leave St Giles at 10am. Tickets cost £10 waged or £8 unwaged and can be bought online or from Fairtrade at St Michael's, Cornmarket, Uhuru Wholefoods, Cowley Road or The Inner Bookshop, Magdalen Road. The Co-operative is also offering a special coach deal from Oxford: £5 return, leaving from the Ashmolean at 8.30am. You need to be a Co-op member or Oxfam supporter to buy tickets, but you can buy for up to 5 others at the same time. Book online. Download the flyer (PDF).
